PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic mail transmission/reception system for surely confirming reception of electronic mail. SOLUTION: The electronic mail transmission/reception system comprises a first mail server 10, a second mail server 12; and user terminals 11 connected to the first and second mail servers 10, 12. The first mail server 10 is provided with: a mail reception section 10a for receiving electronic mail transmitted from a sender; and a mail bulletin board 10b that sets an access right to the electronic mail and exhibits contents including a transmission date and time, sender particular information and a main text. Further, the second mail server 12 transmits the electronic mail from the sender to a recipient with the contents of the electronic mail including the transmission date and time and the sender particular information of the electronic mail but not including the main text of the electronic mail.
