PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antitheft device which is stable in detection and easy to handle. SOLUTION: The antitheft device is provided with a tag 2 which is provided with conductor patterns 10 and 12 together with an adhesive layer 22 on a flexible insulating material (an insulating film 16), attached to an article 8 detachably by an adhesive layer, and brought into a different state by the removal; a control means (a control device 42) which monitors the resistance value R of a resistor 24 connected through the conductor patterns of the tag and generates control output in accordance with the above changed state; and an alarming means (an alarm 46) which raises an alarm with the control output generated by the control means.
