ALPHA-OLEFIN POLYMER COMPOSITION AND ITS PRODUCTION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide anα-olefin polymer composition which is gelation-free and has an increased melt tension and markedly improved moldability and to provide its production method. SOLUTION: Theα-olefin polymer composition is obtained by reacting (A) 100 pts. mass powdery or flaky 2-20Cα-olefin polymer having an intrinsic viscosity [η] in the range of 0.7-5 dl/g as measured in tetralin at 135°C with (B) 0.001-1 pt. mass organosilicon compound represented by formula 1: XnSiYm(OR)4-(n + m)(wherein X is a substituent containing a group reactive with a carboxylic acid or an anhydride thereof; Y is a hydrocarbon group, a hydrogen atom, or a halogen atom; R is a hydrocarbon group; n is an integer of 1-3; m is an integer of 0-2; and n + m = 1-3) and (C) 0.1-30 pts mass modified 2-20Cα-olefin polymer containing 0.001 mass% unsaturated carboxylic acid and/or anhydride thereof and having an intrinsic viscosity [η] of 0.7 dl/g or above as measured in tetralin at 135°C.
