Cosmetic and/or dermatological oil/water (O/W) emulsion contains (a) an aqueous phase, (b) an oil phase of 0.5-10 wt.% unpolar to medium-polar oil(s) with a polarity of 20-60 mN/m, (c) 0.005-10 wt.% cyclodextrin derivative(s) and optionally other cosmetic and/or dermatological agents, adjuvants and additives. An Independent claim is also included for the use of the cyclodextrin derivatives as O/W emulsifier.
