PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize security corresponding to various situations by preventing unauthorized intervention/alternation by unit of file by controlling/managing access and commands by every separated and set region in a storage device by using comparatively simple hardware with versatility in a data protection device in a server. SOLUTION: In the data protection device 2' which is installed to the server 11' having an interface to be linked with storage devices 2d, 2e and connection ports 3a, 3b with which an input device 13 for manager and a general user computer are connected via the Internet line 10, the device is provided with a file management part 8 having firmware and a management table which retrieves and manages a file in an accessed region by making the storage devices 2d, 2e to be separately managed in every region and performing control in every region under conditions provided according to access routes and kinds of commands.
