<p>A security lock has an elliptical plastic lock cylinder inside a plastic housing inside the door fitting. The lock has integral electric contacts which are closed through unauthorised manipulation of the lock, e.g. by trying to force the lock. The contacts are linked to an alarm system. The same or similar contacts also provide a fire warning and can be incorporated in fire protection doors. The lock housing is secured by fasteners from the inside of the door with the fasteners connected to the electric alarm system.</p> |
