PURPOSE: An apparatus for blocking high pressure water for descaling is provided to block that high pressure water injected to front and rear sides of rolling facility to remove oxide scale and various foreign materials is prevented from flowing to the rear side of strip or flying to the outside. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises side guides(23) whose position is changed on a moving path of strip (S) by moving cylinder(25) according to width of the strip; a nozzle header for injecting high pressure water from the front side of the side guides; a lowerable and liftable block(212) which is installed on an upper surface of the respective two side guides, and on which a pin guide hole(215) is formed; a cross support(102) arranged by traversing the two side guides in the state that the cross support is put on the lowerable and liftable block; a fixed shaft(103) fixed to a central part of the cross support; and a blocking unit(104) which is rotationally inserted into the fixed shaft, and in which a fixed pin(117) fixed to an outer side of the blocking unit is inserted into the pin guide hole, and high pressure air is injected onto the surface of the strip by injecting high pressure air supplied through a flexible hose(110) connected to the blocking unit itself into a space between a plural injection heads connected to a lower part of the blocking unit, wherein the lowerable and liftable block comprises a position adjusting part(200) comprising lowerable and liftable cylinder(211) and pinion gear(217), and wherein the blocking unit comprises blocking body, injection head, a plural blocking plates and a plurality of scattering preventing rods.
