摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a perpendicular magnetic recording medium constituted of a soft magnetic thin film and a perpendicular magnetic recording thin film having high saturated magnetization, and provided with high surface flatness. SOLUTION: This perpendicular magnetic recording medium is provided with a soft magnetic thin film and a perpendicular magnetic thin film on a nonmagnetic substrate. The soft magnetic thin film has a multilayer film structure in which an FeSi layer and a C layer are stacked together, and which has at least two FeSi layers. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
