PURPOSE: An antibacterial polymer, an antibacterial polymer coating, their preparation methods and a product having the coating on surface are provided, to allow a coating film having a desired thickness to be formed even on the surface having complex shape. CONSTITUTION: The antibacterial polymer comprises a product of a deposition polymerization reaction of a diaminobenzoic acid monomer or a halogen atom-containing diamine monomer and a monomer which can react with the monomers. Preferably the antibacterial polymer is a polyimide, a polyamide, a polyurea or a polyazomethine; and the polyimide is represented by the formula 1, the polyamide is represented by the formula 2, the polyurea is represented by the formula 3, and the polyazomethine is represented by the formula 4, wherein Ar and Ar' are an aromatic group or an aliphatic group; and R is COOH, F, Cl, Br or I.
