DEVICE FOR DETECTING WATER LEVEL OF DRUM WASHING MACHINE

PURPOSE: A water level detecting device of a drum washing machine is provided to detect the level of washing water in a tub accurately by restricting leakage of water from wrong assembling of a clamp in assembling an air chamber with a bellows hose with directly connecting a water level detecting tube to a drain port of the tub, and to cut down manufacturing cost by reducing the number of parts. CONSTITUTION: A water level detecting device(60) of a drum washing machine is composed of a tub rotating and arranging a drum containing the laundry and storing washing water; a water level detecting tube(66) connected to a drain port formed in the tub and filled with air; a water level sensor(68) connected to the water level detecting tube to detect the level of water in the tub according to pressure; and a tube coupler(64) protruded at the side of the drain port and inserted to the end of the water level detecting tube for flowing water in and out according to hydraulic pressure. The water level sensor detects the water level in the tub by measuring pressure of air, and a control panel of the washing machine regulates a drain pump(54) according to the detected water level.
