The present invention relates to a process of cleaning a hard surface with a liquid composition comprising a surfactant system, wherein said surfactant system has a sigma L/O (interfacial tension of the surfactant system-containing composition to the greasy soil) of less than 4 mN/m measured at a 0.15% total surfactant concentration in deionized water at 25 DEG C; and a sigma L/S (interfacial tension of the surfactant system-containing composition to the hard surface) that is lower than the interfacial tension of the greasy soil to be removed to the hard surface to be cleaned ( sigma O/S). Said liquid composition provides a grease removal performance benefit and/or a grease removal performance benefit upon contact of the liquid composition on grease, without applying mechanical action.
