PURPOSE: A fusing device of an electrophotographic image forming device is provided to shorten a warming-up time by using a heat pipe and increase fusing heat capacity by forming fusing nip in predetermined width. CONSTITUTION: A resistance coil generates heat by electricity. A part of the heat is transmitted to a nip plate(124) and the rest of the heat is transmitted to a heat pipe(121). An operating fluid(125) contained in the heat pipe is evaporated by the transmitted heat. The heat of the gaseous operating fluid is transmitted to a fusing film(130) through an insulating material and the nip plate, so a surface temperature of the fusing film increases to a target temperature appropriate for fusing a toner(151) formed on paper(150). The toner is fused on the paper by the heated fusing film while the paper passes through a gap between a fusing part(110) and a compressing roller(170).
