A diary manager (6) allows a user to specify meetings in a table (10) and subsequently when the meeting date approaches to refer to tables of actions and links to relevant documents. A search engine (7) uses the wording of the meeting specification to extract key words and actions from a data base (14) and also to find documents from a document store (13).
