PURPOSE: A tooth elevator is provided to minimize the risk of damage to teeth adjacent to an objective tooth to be pulled out. CONSTITUTION: The tooth elevator(10) comprises first and second corresponding members(15,20) each having a handle portion(25) and a jaw portion(30) extending forward from the handle portion. The first member is hingedly connected to the second member. The respective jaw portions of the first and second members has a wedge-shaped cross section, and defines an elongated elliptical shape in a closed state thereof. With such a configuration, in a state wherein the corresponding pair of the jaw portions are inserted into certain teeth and an external force is applied to the handle portions, the first and second members act to vertically extract an objective tooth, namely, a molar tooth while moving the molar tooth rearward.
