METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING ION EXCHANGE RESIN MEMBRANE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for continuously manufacturing an ion exchange resin membrane of high quality by carrying out a hydrolysis treatment of an ion exchange resin precursor membrane without immersion in an alkaline bath which requires troublesome management and control and discharges a large amount of industrial wastes, and an apparatus for treating the membrane suitable for carrying out the manufacturing method.

SOLUTION: This method for manufacturing the ion exchange resin membrane comprises applying a reaction liquid to the ion exchange resin precursor membrane bearing an ion exchange group precursor and carrying out a hydrolysis treatment of the ion exchange group precursor while continuously transporting the precursor membrane while holding the both ends thereof.
