METHOD OF MANUFACTURING GLASS CAP FOR ORGANIC EL DISPLAY AND GLASS CAP

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass cap for an organic EL display manufacturable in a relatively short time and having high strength. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the glass cap for the organic EL display comprises a process (a masking process) forming a resist layer 10 having acid resistance and sand blast resistance covering a non-forming portion of graving acting as a housing part 55 on a surface under working 1a of a glass plate 1 and forming a resist layer 20 having acid resistance over the whole surface of the other surface 1b of the glass plate 1; a process (a blasting process) cutting and forming a space 45 acting as the target housing part 55 by blasting an abrasive to the surface under working 1a of the glass plate 1; and a process (an etching process) forming the housing part by immersing the glass plate 1 with the resist layers 10, 20 attached after blasting work in an etching solution, and etching to graving depth forming the target housing part 55.
