COLUMN BASE/PEDESTAL JOINT METAL FOR WOODEN BUILDING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a column base/pedestal joint metal which solves following inconveniences: a conventional joint metal must be set before setting a ground sill; a through hole for a fastening bolt must be formed in the ground sill beforehand; and the addition of the other column base/pedestal joint metal to the original one is impossible. SOLUTION: The column base/pedestal joint metal can withstand a column drawing force by means of a fastening connector. The fastening connector which has penetrated through a hole at the end of the joint metal, engages with the ground sill. Therefore the column base/pedestal joint metal can be set on the ground sill after setting the same even if the through hole is not formed in the ground sill beforehand. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
