The head rest support structure (8) has two locking rods (5) which fit into matching receptacles in a seat back. The rods (5) are connected by a yoke part (2) which fits into a holder part (9) which is part of the head rest. The rods are made of hollow tubes or rods and have a hollow space opening out at the end nearest the yoke part. The yoke has dowels or raw plugs (3) near its ends. These extend towards the rods and fit into the hollow spaces of the rods. Bolts (1) fit into the dowels and cause the dowels to spread open against the wall of the hollow spaces.
