PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic locking apparatus in a building opening and closing device not necessary for preparing an exclusive slat on which the locking apparatus is mounted when the locking apparatus is provided to a shutter device and constituted so as not to change the depth of a guide groove of a guide rail. SOLUTION: The locking apparatus 8 placed on the slat 2 constituting a shutter curtain 1 so as not to project from both right and left ends of the slat 2 is constituted by having a case body 9 fixed to the indoor side of the slat 2, a control body 10 provided to the case body 9 so as to enable an inward site to freely come in and out and disguisable to an unlocking posture for releasing interlock with an interlocking apparatus 7 by coming in the case body 9 from a locking posture projecting to the indoor side by receiving the energizing force of a coil spring 11a and an operating body 15 disguised in an unlocking posture from the locking posture for the control body 10 to resist the coil spring 11a by displacement to the central side in the direction of the width of the slat 2.
