A split-level flexible deflector (101, 201), or SLFD, supported above a telescopic boom (17) carrying a tree-trunk shaker (9), and having an upper portion (103, 203) and a lower portion (105, 205), which is divided in a mid-section (135, 235) residing above the telescopic boom, with on both sides thereof, two side portions (139, 239) positioned lower below the mid-section and proximate to the ground (G). The proximity of each one of the two side portions to the ground is independently adjustable. The SLFD is configured for assembly and disassembly in situ, into manportable divisions (213). The mid-division (217) is fordable. The SLFD is carried by a towed vehicle (321), which is pulled with a towing boom (323) behind an automotive vehicle (11). Optionally, the SLFD is supported on the automotive vehicle. |
