PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner having a uniform shape and a small width of a grain size distribution. SOLUTION: The toner is manufactured by using a dispersion 6 prepared by finely dispersing a dispersoid mainly composed of a resin material into a dispersion medium. The dispersion 6 fed into a dispersion supply unit 4 is supplied to a head section 2. The head section 2 has a dispersion storage section 4 for storing the dispersion 6 and a discharging section for discharging the dispersion 6. The dispersion 6 in the storage section 4 is discharged from the discharging section to a solidifying section 3 by piezoelectric pulses of a piezoelectric element. The discharged dispersion 6 has a grain form. While the dispersion 6 is conveyed in the solidifying section 3, the dispersion is solidified to form toner particles 9 as a result of the removal of the dispersion medium. A voltage impressing means 8 is connected to a cylindrical housing 31 constituting the solidifying section 3 and the voltage of the same polarity as the polarity of the granular dispersion 6 is impressed to a housing 31.
