PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance running stability by designing a slide rail to withstand a heavy load to prevent damages to ball retainers. SOLUTION: The suspended slide rail has a caterpillar type inner movable part constructed of an inner member of the slide rail and a ball retainer. A plurality of ball bearings are formed by equally spaced annular ball chains. The inner member comprises an elongate rectangular solid, and ball chain grooves are cut on upper and lower ends of the inner member on either side along its longitudinal direction and formed as annular endless tracks. Further, a pair of ball chains are mounted at front and rear longitudinal side ends of the rectangular solid where a pair of rotating gears are provided. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
