PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display system of an excavator and a program for use in it, for displaying a positional relation between a working tool and a target surface to be excavated accurately, intuitively and plainly so as to improve visibility. SOLUTION: This display system of an excavator displaying an image of the positional relation between the target excavated surface and a bucket 1c on a monitor 10 includes: angle detectors 9a, 9b and, 9c for detecting a state amount related to the position and attitude of a front device 1A; a bucket position/attitude computing part 18a for computing the position and attitude of the bucket 1c according to detection values of the position and the attitude; a distance computing part 18c for the bucket tip and the target excavated surface for computing a vertical distance Ltip between the bucket 1c and the target excavated surface from the positional relation between the bucket 1c and the target excavated surface; and a computing part 19c for a bucket drawing color displaying vertical distance information in visual expression according to a distance in a screen of the monitor 10.
