PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a stop ring from coming out in a chuck where the coming-out of the stop ring and a seal cap from the chuck can be definitely prevented. SOLUTION: The chuck is provided with a chuck cylinder (1) which inserts a tool, the chuck cylinder (1) covered with a clamping cylinder (2), a roller (3) and a retainer (4) interposed in a clearance between the chuck cylinder (1) and the clamping cylinder (2), a seal cap (5) which seals the top end of the clearance and a stop ring (6) which retains the seal cap (5) at the top end of the chuck cylinder (1). The stop ring (6) is fit into a stop groove (11) formed on the opposite surfaces of the chuck cylinder (1) and the seal cap (5). COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
