PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a working method of lens for glasses using an eyeglass lens processing machine to polish the periphery of a water or oil repellent lens and process it into a spectacle frame shape, allowing the water or oil repellent lens to surely be retained in a lens holder mounted on the eyeglass lens processing machine by increasing the grip force between the lens holder and the lens. SOLUTION: The method comprises a step of applying an adhesive 3 to both sides 1b, 1c of the water or oil repellent eyeglass lens 1 while an elastic clamp member 2 is used to resiliently hold the eyeglass lens 1 from over the adhesive 3 applied to the lens, allowing the eyeglass lens 1 to be held in the lens holder 21 of the eyeglass lens processing machine 20.
