<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an incorrect operation preventing device for an internal combustion engine for securing the full effects of exhaust gas regulations by preventing the continuous incorrect operation of the internal combustion engine being operated with exhaust gas not passing through a normal filter. <P>SOLUTION: The incorrect operation preventing device 30 for the internal combustion engine 10 comprises a filter 21 provided in an exhaust passage 11 for trapping floating particulate materials contained in exhaust gas. When exhaust pressure on the filter 21 at the upstream side of the exhaust gas is lower than a set value at or after starting the internal combustion engine 10, the function of the internal combustion engine 10 is restricted. The restriction of the function of the internal combustion engine 10 means that the internal combustion engine is precluded from being started or is stopped, the output performance of the internal combustion engine 10 is lowered or the subsequent operation frequency of the internal combustion engine 10 is restricted, e.g. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
