FLEXIBLE POLYURETHANE FOAM MATTRESS WITH VARIABLE CROSS SECTION TRANSVERSE CUTS

The present invention relates to a flexible polyurethane foam mattress having variable cross section transverse cuts. Said transverse cuts enable the mattress to flex without being subjected to efforts at the points where the cut have been made. Additionally, cross-sectionnal orifices have been made at the lower portion of the mattress and which traverse the latter in parallel to the transverse cuts and above them. The orifices are used to house wood slats which provide more rigidity to the mattress. The mattress has a variable number of variable cross section cuts in the width direction, both in the upper side and in the lower side. This system can be applied to all flexible polyurethane mattresses appropriate to any type of spring mattress or the like, the mattress being all the more advantageous as the number of flexions to which it is subjected is high.
