PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exclude programs which a user has not actually watched neither listened to, from an audience history. SOLUTION: An audience habit detection part 14 receives remote controller operations which the user had performed, from a system control part 12 to examine whether the user has being watching and listening to one program for a certain time or longer or not. The time for which the user watched and listened to the program in a specific broadcasting day is added to the total watching and listening time of the same program in other broadcasting days to obtain his or her audience habit to this program, and his or her audience habit to the program is recognized to report a program ID of the program to a favorite program management part 14 when his or her audience habit exceeds a certain threshold. The system control part 12 controls a retrieval part 16 to generate a favorite program table, and the retrieval part 16 acquires the program ID registered in a favorite program management part 15 and extracts program information having a program ID congruent with program information acquired from a program information acquisition part 9 to generate favorite program table data.
