<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in such an anarchy condition that the digital dubbing of the contents of others through the Internet is performed as much as they want and copyright is neglected. <P>SOLUTION: AV equipment such as a music server is provided with a communication means, and every time of newly playing a medium such as a CD, the contents for each user are registered to an authentication institution on the basis of the identification signal of TOC or the like through the Internet from the communication means. In the case that the communication means asks the authentication institution for permission to perform the digital dubbing for the respective contents through the Internet, the authentication institution retrieves registration conditions, confirms that it is the true owner of a content medium and sends an unlocking signal to the AV equipment. The AV equipment which receives it operates a digital dubbing unlocking step and enables a direct content transportation to the other AV equipment by the user or operates an uploading unlocking step and enables the content transportation to the other AV equipment by the user through the Internet. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
