<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To give the setting state of playing characteristics based on user setting priority over a setting command included in reproduced automatic playing data. <P>SOLUTION: Playing characteristics of tuning, a tempo, etc., for playing a musical sound based upon automatic playing data can normally be set by either of a manual setting in which the playing characteristics are set through user's manual operation and an automatic setting in which the playing characteristics are set based upon a specific command included in the playing data. The setting state of various specified playing characteristics based upon user setting can be maintained (given priority) even if the automatic setting is indicated with the setting command included in the reproduced automatic playing data after the manual setting is done by the user by making it possible to give a priority instruction for giving the setting of playing characteristics by the manual setting priority over the automatic setting through specified user's switch operation or another proper priority indicating means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
