PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tiling method and a tile capable of being fixed to the projected corner of a building by constituting an overlap type tile overlapping both vertical edges each other to be formed into a flat and plate-like shape without an L-shape and preventing a hooking groove from exposing the side end face of the tile in a fixed state to the outside. SOLUTION: The overlap type tiling method is so constituted that the overlap type tile formed so as not to expose the hooking groove formed in the rear side from the end face by closing one side end of the overlap type tile combined by engaging the thin formed upper edge with the lower edge of the tile located upward with a wall is placed to the projected corner of the building by exposing the closed end face to the outside and that the other overlap type tile is fixed to a tile mounting board while placing it by orthogonally abutting against the inside of the tile.
