PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the state of the operation of a refrigerator at a place apart from the refrigerator, and efficiently operate the refrigerator. SOLUTION: This refrigerator control system determines the contents of control according to the contents of the operation of the refrigerator 1 such that, when a rapid freezing mode is executed to the refrigerator 1, a defrosting control is not executed to the refrigerator. The refrigerator control system can monitor the operations for the telephone answer button of a telephone message recorder installed separately and, when the button is operated and set in a telephone answer mode, can control the refrigerator 1 to execute the "telephone answer power-saving mode". Also, it can also be considered to control the refrigerator 1 to execute a "silent mode" in a time zone in which a user is considered to go in bed and before and after a time zone in which the user is considered to get up.
