<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inverter device for a vehicle which is equipped with a control circuit capable of suppressing the generation of a surge voltage by minimizing the efficiency drop of an inverter circuit. <P>SOLUTION: A drive command circuit 2 detects the operation state of a vehicle from information obtained form each kind of sensors 3 mounted on a vehicle, and generates such a mode signal S2 that the larger the output current of the inverter part considered as necessary is, the larger the time constant of the switching drive circuit of an inverter 1 becomes, based on the detected operation state of a vehicle. The mode signal S2 is inputted into gate control circuits 13a-13f which drive the gate terminal of each switching element IGBT 11a-11f constituting the inverter 1. The gate control circuits 13a-13f change resistance values of, for example, a gate resistor, and control the switching of the IGBTs 11a-11f while taking balance between switching loss in the inverter 1 and the control of the surge voltage. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
