<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suction catheter which can be easily transported to a target treatment part by providing flexibility for following a bent blood vessel, a maximum suction lumen and a guide wire without the need of a large-scale apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: In the suction catheter, the tip part of a main shaft is obliquely cut, the tip part of a guide wire shaft is positioned at the extreme tip part of the main shaft or positioned projectingly from a tip side beyond than the extreme tip part. The length L1 in a catheter longitudinal axis direction of the part where the main shaft is obliquely cut and the length 12 from the hand end of the guide wire shaft to the extreme tip of the main shaft are adjusted such that relations 0.5≤L2/L1 and L2-L1≤5 mm are attained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
