Production of liquid fine particles comprises atomizing a liquid to form atomized liquid particles, removing the micro-fine liquid particles from the atomized liquid particles using inertia fractionation, and contacting the micro-fine liquid particles with a heated carrier gas to thermally dry the particles and form liquid droplets which are finer than the micro-fine liquid droplets. An Independent claim is also included for a device for producing liquid fine particles.
