The rails for the carriage wheels have an I-shaped cross-section, with the top flange broader than the bottom one. The abutting ends (31) of the rails are cut at a slight angle, so that the bottom flanges (14) butt closely together. A connection fork (27) and a connection link are welded to the bottom of the flanges. The two scissors members (54,55) at the top are welded to the top flanges of the rails and overlap. They are held together by locking bolts (23) and accommodate a bolt for a shackle (33). A second shackle (34) has a bolt (22) passing through one of the scissors members. There are safety hooks (25,26) on the scissors members.
