<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively solve problems of "rolling in of air bubbles" and/or "curvature" in the manufacturing of a diffraction optical element. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing a diffraction optical element which includes an organic material film bonding process of bonding and fixing an organic material film 20 on a transparent substrate 10, a diffraction grating process of forming a plurality of diffraction gratings sectioned in a rectangularly uneven shape on the organic material film bonded and fixed on the transparent substrate, in a grating array state, and a separating process of individually separating the plurality of diffraction gratings formed in the grating array state, the organic material film 20 is divided into organic material film pieces 21 each forming one or more diffraction gratings and bonded to the transparent substrate 10 in the organic film film bonding process. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
