<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To completely drain leaked liquid, and to simply conduct draining and charging, when necessary. <P>SOLUTION: A cylinder type accumulator PA comprises a cylinder 5 provided with a lower side plate 2 having a liquid outlet/inlet 9 at one end, and an upper side plate 3 having an air supplying port 10 at the other end; a piston 8 dividing the inside of the cylinder 5 into a gas chamber 7 and a liquid chamber 6; a liquid storing portion 15 provided in the gas chamber side of the piston 8; and a variable tube 17 fixed on the upper side plate 3 at a base end portion 17a, and positioning a free end portion 17a in the gas chamber 7.
