PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrict stay of foreign matter between a ball and a recessed spherical surface. SOLUTION: This retainer is provided between balls 3 in a ball screw, and it is provided with recessed spherical surfaces 5 on both sides to come into contact with the balls 3.
