The invention relates to a method for the extraction of contained materials, in particular contaminants, from liquids or solid dispersions, by means of t he use of compressed extraction agents, such as for example supercritical or liquid carbon dioxide, whereby the liquid or dispersion is introduced into a pressure-resistant vessel in the form of a thin film and the surface of the thin film treated with the extraction agent, in particular carbon dioxide. T he surface of the thin film is continuously regenerated over at least a part of the layer thickness of the thin film as a result of the mechanical treatment of the liquid or dispersion.
