PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aromatic polyamide film for a pressure-sensitive adhesive tape which excels in heat resistance, moistureproofness, and dimensional stability, and a pressure-sensitive adhesive tape using the same. SOLUTION: The pressure-sensitive adhesive tape is formed by providing a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer on at least one surface of an aromatic polyamide film for the pressure-sensitive adhesive tape having a water vapor permeability of 0.1-5 (g/m<SP>2</SP>/24 hr/0.1 mm). The above film is made to have a moisture absorption of 0.2-5%, a soldering heat-resistant temperature of 250-400°C or a sum of the Young's moduli in the lengthwise and crosswise directions of 15-50 GPa.
