<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plugging material for molten iron tapping hole in a blast furnace which has excellent plugging property, expanding property after plugging, and adhesive property, and has strength characteristic because of little evaporating component and the closeness. <P>SOLUTION: This plugging material for molten iron tapping hole in the blast furnace is composed of refractory aggregate, clay, and two or more kinds of pitches having different softening points in the range of 100-400°C, and the above clay content is made to be 3-9 wt% and the total content of the pitches is made to be 1-10 wt% and also, coal tar anhydride having ≥800 cPs viscosity at 60°C is added as the outer side according to a push-out property. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
