<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color image forming apparatus capable of forming a very precise color image by accurately measuring color slurring without being influenced by the variation of the surface speed of an image carrier. <P>SOLUTION: In constitution where printing is performed by aligning rotational phases so as to reduce the color slurring caused by the variation of the surface speed of the image carrier, such control is performed that the phase of the image carrier at the top of the respective colors of a measuring pattern is made the same in the case of measuring the color slurring. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
