PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device capable of labeling work in an order that is easy for a user to recognize. SOLUTION: A minimum Y coordinate of a work w(4) with the most smallest minimum Y coordinate of a circumscribed rectangle is set as a starting point. A width defined by a maximum Y coordinate of the circumscribed rectangle of the work w(4) is set by using a width L1 of a first search area 2 (No 1). Works in the first search area 2 (No 1) are sorted, and they are labeled in an order from a smallest work w(1) with the minimum X coordinate of a circumscribed rectangle. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
