PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water turbine device satisfying both of the improvement in the recovery of energy of the water of a water source, and the reduction of a construction cost. SOLUTION: This water turbine device 1 uses a suction-side connection pipe 2. The suction-side connection pipe 2 has the semicircular shape on a part of a discharge end 4 for discharging the water 79 from the suction-side connection pipe 2, and has a vertical length L approximately same as an inner diameter D of a straight pipe part of the suction-side connection pipe 2, between its bottom part and the discharge end 4. Whereby the water 79 is circulated against the vertical force at a part from the bottom part of a pushing part 3 to the discharge end 4, and is discharged upward to the atmospheric air from the discharge end 4.
