HOT METAL SLAG TREATING APPARATUS

PURPOSE: A hot metal slag treating apparatus is provided which improves actual yield and enables residual molten steel contained in continuous cast slag to be early used as a resource by performing hot metal slag treatment without generation of dust and scale and early collecting residual molten steel contained in converter slag. CONSTITUTION: In a hot metal slag treatment apparatus for separating slag and molten steel generated in converter of the steelmaking process, the hot metal slag treating apparatus comprises a molten steel and slag separation part which is formed in a hopper, and at a lower part of which a molten steel tapping hole closing device is installed to separate the molten steel contained slag into molten steel and slag by specific gravity difference after molten steel contained slag is flown in the molten steel tapping hole closing device; a hydraulic tapping part for discharging slag positioned in an upper part of the molten steel and slag separation part and discharging slag positioned adjacently to the molten steel and finely mixed with the molten steel; and a residual molten steel cooling part comprising a cooling water collecting line positioned at an upper part of moving path of the slag, a cooling water tank for storing cooling water and a pump for spraying the cooling water to reduce the amount of dust and foreign materials generated by the slag and molten steel.
