PURPOSE: An USB(Universal Serial Bus) coupling DVR(Digital Video Recorder) is provided to convert a video signal obtained from cameras into an image file and to output the image file to an USB channel in order to use a PC or a notebook computer equipped with an USB coupler as an image computer of a floating IP(Internet Protocol) connection system. CONSTITUTION: Video cameras(11) provide a captured moving image signal to a multi-channel image processor(21). The multi-channel image processor processes/outputs the multi-channel image signal from the video cameras as a frame image. A multi-channel image encoder(31) compresses/outputs the frame image from the image processor as the image file. A controller(41) transmits the image file to the image computer through the USB controller(51), outputs the image file from the image computer through the USB controller to an output device(71), and controls the video cameras, the multi-channel image processor, and the multi-channel image encoder by responding to a control signal transmitted from the image computer through the USB controller.
