Compounds of formula (I) are disclosed, for which the variables are defined herein. The compounds are used in the manufacture of medicaments for use as adenosine receptor agonists, for modifying cardiac activity, modifying adipocyte function, treating central nervous system disorders, and treating diabetic disorders.
