FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has U-shaped frame and frame with horizontal forks. U-shaped frame has front knife and two side knives, said knives being rigidly connected with one another. Knives are provided with teeth having facets oriented outside. Slots on inner side of knives are adapted for attachment of segments flush with cutting edges. Segments have sizes exceeding those of teeth. Cutting edges of segments are arranged in single plane and are oriented inside with their facets. Transition tooth is defined by facets and positioned on tail part of side knives. EFFECT: increased efficiency of compound cutting members and simplified construction. 6 dwg
