PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery for a portable electronic apparatus capable of increasing its charging amount. SOLUTION: In this battery for the portable electronic apparatus for charging a built-in battery of the portable electronic apparatus 2, a power supply source 7 composed of eight battery cells 8 is accommodated in a case 12. The battery cell 8 is a dry battery-type cell of 1.5-1.7 V, the battery cells are connected in series or in parallel to preferably achieve the output voltage of the power supply source 7 of 6.0-6.8 V. A voltage adjusting part 9 is preferably mounted to adjust the output voltage of the power supply source 7 to the permissible voltage of the built-in battery. A connector 6 fitted to the portable electronic apparatus and electrically connected thereto is mounted in the case 12, and a slip-out prevention part 22 is integrally mounted on the connector 6 for preventing the slip-out of the connector 6 from the portable electronic apparatus 2.
